Roof-Mounted Solar and Battery Storage System Install

A 5.00kW solar PV system comprising 11 high-efficiency 455W solar panels, paired with an EcoFlow 6kW single-phase hybrid inverter featuring dual MPPT trackers for improved energy generation across different roof aspects.

The system also includes 20.4kWh of battery storage, providing substantial energy backup and allowing excess solar energy generated during the day to be stored for use during evenings, overnight periods, or power outages.

Key components:

• 11 × 455W solar panels (5.00kW total capacity)
• 1 × EcoFlow 6kW single-phase hybrid inverter (2 MPPTs)
• 20.4kWh battery storage capacity

This system is designed to maximise self-consumption, reduce reliance on grid electricity, and provide long-duration energy storage for residential properties.

Roof-Mounted Solar Install

This customer chose a premium solution featuring Enphase microinverters alongside a Fox ESS AC1 G2 5kW AC-coupled inverter and 10.4kWh of battery storage, allowing them to store more of the energy they generate and make greater use of their solar investment.

In Roof Solar Install

The Solfit in-roof system was a 5.1kW solar PV installation with 13.5kWh of battery storage. The system comprised 12 Solfit 425W dual-glass, all-black monocrystalline solar panels installed in landscape orientation.

We used Enphase microinverters for this project, providing panel-level optimisation and monitoring. The system was also configured with island mode functionality, allowing the property to continue operating during grid power outages.

Key features:
• 5.1kW solar PV system
• 12 × Solfit 425W dual-glass all-black panels
• Enphase microinverters
• 13.5kWh battery storage
• Island mode / backup power capability during power cuts
• Integrated Solfit in-roof mounting system

Ground Mount Solar Install

This large-scale Solarport installation delivers 30.8kW of renewable energy generation, combining high-performance solar technology with substantial battery storage to maximise energy independence and long-term savings.

The system comprises 70 × 440W solar panels, paired with a Fox ESS V Series 30kW three-phase string inverter, a Fox ESS AC3 10kW three-phase AC-coupled inverter, and 41.4kWh of battery storage. The system is forecast to generate 29,353kWh annually and is currently exceeding its projected performance.

A key aspect of this project was the distance between the Solarport and the plant room. To facilitate the installation, a 220-metre trench was excavated, allowing all cabling and infrastructure to be installed safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean and professional finish.

To ensure long-term reliability and protection of the electrical equipment, we designed and installed bespoke weatherproofing measures. Perspex shielding was fitted to the rear of the ground-mounted Unistrut framework to protect inverters and associated equipment from the elements. Additional Perspex protection was installed beneath the solar panels to prevent rainwater passing through the gap between panel rows and onto the electrical equipment below. This custom solution channels water away from critical components, providing enhanced protection and helping to maximise system longevity.

System Specification:
• 30.8kW Solar PV System
• 70 × 440W Solar Panels
• Fox ESS V Series 30kW Three-Phase String Inverter
• Fox ESS AC3 10kW Three-Phase AC-Coupled Inverter
• 41.4kWh Battery Storage
• Expected Annual Generation: 29,353kWh
• Currently outperforming generation estimates
• 220m trench and cable infrastructure installation
• Bespoke weather protection and water management system
